What You Are Empowered To Accomplish

Plummer is looking for a Control and SCADA Specialist to help grow our EI&C discipline in North Texas area. SCADA Specialist will contribute and support current projects, and support growth on controls, instrumentation, & integration. We are seeking a control integration specialist who will effectively participate in EI&C design and review tasks to achieve goals and outcomes with accountable performance management. We require relevant professional experience in analyzing and integrating controls design for power commissioning, water, and wastewater process applications. Knowledge of NEC and classified areas is also desired.

Our Ideal Teammate

  • Our ideal teammate will have at least 5-10 years of experience in the A / E / C industry or industrial controls expertise; 2 years in Water and Wastewater projects, task management, and technical leadership.
  • We require a 2-year college technical or 4-year bachelor's degree in science or engineering.
  • Bonus to obtain the EIT (Engineer in Training) license within 6-12 months (engineer).
  • EIT License is highly preferred. - EIT and PE licensure for career advancement.
  • We are seeking a strong communicator with leadership skills and the ability to collaboratively plan, problem-solve, hands-on initiative, and follow-through on projects.
  • Field collaboration with suppliers, clients, and peers.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting SCADA, HMI and OIT configuration projects and equipment checkout and field inspection services.
  • Experience with programming HMI packages including Ignition, FactoryTalk, iFix, Wonderware, and Iconics.
  • VT-SCADA – trihedral.
  • Experience with PLC programming for Allen Bradley, Rockwell, and Schneider programmable controllers.
  • Experience with programming Operator Interface Terminals (OITs) for Rockwell, Maple Systems, Automation Direct and Red Lion.
  • Knowledge and experience with National Electric Code.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (e.g., fluency in report writing and presentations).
  • Knowledge of commissioning process.
  • Quantitative skills (e.g., analytical, technical, problem solving).
  • Demonstrated record of client management / satisfaction.
  • Keen interest in developing your career in electrical & control systems design and becoming a licensed professional engineer.
  • Desire Skills

  • Experienced with Rockwell Software Logix 500, Logix 5000 and Studio 5000 designer.
  • Experienced with HMI configuration in Ignition.
  • Experienced with HMI configuration in Rockwell FactoryTalk SE.
  • Experienced with Maple Systems OIT configuration.
  • VT-SCADA.
  • Travel expected : 40% North Texas Clients : Dallas-FTW Metro, Waxahachie, Mansfield, & Sherman, TX.
