Overview : Overview
Oversees the operation of comprehensive pharmacy services to align with organizational goals, customer service standards, and clinical effectiveness. Contributes to the organization's success by optimizing pharmacy resources, managing costs, developing leaders, measuring operational outcomes, and ensuring operational efficiency.
- Oversee pharmacy leaders in implementing and maintaining clinical and operational pharmacy processes and programs.
- Evaluate pharmacy services, protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Participate in local and / or system committees related to pharmacy services.
- Act as a liaison for physician and community relations activities.
- Lead the implementation of initiatives at both local and system-wide levels.
- Manage the budget plans for the department.
- Set performance objectives for direct reports and team members, holding individuals accountable for achieving goals.
- Manage continuous operational improvement to foster an environment prioritizing excellent patient experiences, safety, and high-quality patient outcomes.
- Provide leadership coaching to colleagues in your area of expertise to help them improve their performance
- Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's level degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences required
Certification / Licensure
Pharmacist license in the state of VA required
Experience
3 years management experience required
