Responsibilities

The College of Arts and Sciences at North Park University seeks applications for a one-year visiting professor position in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry to begin in August 2024.

The successful candidate will teach full load in chemistry courses during the 2024-2025 academic year. Teaching responsibilities will include lecture and laboratory courses with emphasis on organic chemistry and biochemistry courses, as well as other courses as dictated by departmental need.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field
  • A clear understanding of North Park University’s mission of Christian higher education.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of organic chemistry and biochemistry laboratory techniques
  • Teaching experience
  • Research experience in biochemistry or a related field.
  • Experience teaching university-level organic chemistry and biochemistry courses.
  • Ability to work independently and with others.
  • Comfort with using modern technology.
