Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital Step Down Unit Day shifts, 3x12 hours from 7 : 00 to 19 : 30 Nursing ratio of 1 : 4 Patients include those requiring titration of vasopressors, sedation medication, insulin drips, trach vents, art lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes Required to work two shifts every other weekend No on-call responsibilities Staff may float to lower acuity floors as needed EPIC EMR is used; EPIC experience required Floating may occur within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby Responsibilities include managing complex patients and titration of critical IV medications Team members are required to wear navy scrubs No cost for parking at the facility No return travelers accepted if employed within the last 12 months at this health system Travelers may remain up to 18 months with a mandatory 3-month break thereafter Up to 7 days of requested time off permitted in a 13-week contract, with no time off during the first week Fit testing is required; facial hair must allow for a proper mask fit Requirements Active MO or compact RN license required BLS (BCLS), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum of 2 years of recent Step Down or similar acute care experience Bedside nursing experience within the last 6 months is required Experience required with ventilators, titration of pressors, and insulin drips No first-time travelers accepted Must reside outside of a 75-mile radius from the facility References from supervisors within the last two years are required for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629582.
