Job Summary

The Production Manager leads the manufacturing operation and ensures quality products are produced safely, on an accurate and timely schedule, while continually seeking productivity, efficiency and cost improvements. The role focuses on improving performance in safety, people, process and equipment to support an improved internal and external customer experience.

Job Location

This is an onsite position based at our Salisbury, NC plant.

Job Responsibilities

• Promotes a safe work environment and ensures safety is communicated and enforced at all levels of responsibility within the production team
• Direct management of Production Supervisors
• Leads the successful day-to-day operation of a non-union production operation
• Strives for continuous improvement and operational excellence in personnel, processes, and the effectiveness of the overall operation
• Drives problem solving and root cause analysis to understand gaps in performance and acts to correct identified issues
• Ensures the facility is appropriately staffed to safely achieve production metrics
• Responsible for Supervisor development, providing the support and tools to achieve their full leadership potential
• Coaches direct reports and continually seeks ways to improve performance
• As a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, drives overall facility performance and teamwork through collaboration
• Communicates and collaborates with the Product Development team to coordinate the effective implementation of new products, processes and equipment
• Establishes and aids in producing an appropriate set of KPI's and metrics to report on performance
• Works with the Planner / Scheduler to ensure a consistent and efficient flow of product throughout the entire production process
• Ensures adherence to legal and statutory safety and operating standards
• Willing to work outside typical hours to ensure engagement of supervisory team and consistent application of process and procedure
• Any other tasks as may reasonably be assigned
