Tax Manager

A well-known, aggressive CPA firm is ready to add the next leader to the team. This opportunity is part of the firm's plan for growth and the strengthening of the public tax side of business. They are seeking a Tax Manager to oversee a team of highly motivated staff. The successful Tax Manager will have high ethical standards and make an impact on day one. This position is fast tracked to partnership. Performance Expectations for the Tax Manager :

  • Oversee and manage a team of highly motivated staff accountants / tax accountants
  • Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of clients
  • Oversee complex tax projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries
  • Meet regularly with business and community contacts to maintain a network within the local market
  • Provide timely and complete evaluations and counseling for the staff accountants
  • Be a hands on leader

Experience / Qualifications for the Tax Manager :

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or Equivalent
  • Master of Science and Taxation degree (highly desirable)
  • CPA Certificate
  • 5+ years of proven experience in public accounting, in a tax supervisory role
  • Must have the ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service
  • Must be able to lead and motivate a team of highly motivated individuals to a final goal
  • Must have strong multi-tasking skills
  • Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
