Regional Human Resources Director

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources leader to partner with Regional Operations in driving the development and execution of HR strategies that support the overall business objectives across multiple hotels in the North America region. Lead and develop a geographically dispersed team of HR Managers and Business Partners across union and non-union environments.

Key Responsibilites :

• Foster a collaborative HR community to share best practices and promote professional development.
• Ensure consistent interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures across the region.
• Oversee delivery of core HR services including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compensation and benefits.
• Partner with local managers to resolve employee issues, support workforce planning, and implement organizational changes.
• Monitor and improve regional HR metrics such as turnover and, engagement.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations; coordinate with legal counsel as needed.
• Advise on labor union negotiations and collective bargaining processes.
• Conduct internal HR audits and enforce global and regional HR policies.
• Identify regional talent needs and implement development and succession planning programs in both office and plant settings.
• Facilitate training and development activities for managers and employees.
• Serve as an advisor to regional business leaders on organizational design and workforce planning.
• Participate in business planning and collaborate with global HR COEs to tailor programs for regional needs.
• Translate business priorities into actionable HR strategies and practices.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and subject matter expertise across a wide range of HR functions, including but not limited to : strategic planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement and retention, organizational development, employee relations, regulatory compliance, and compensation.
• Collaborate with facility-level HR Directors to oversee and enhance key organizational processes, such as HR policy development and interpretation, employee handbook updates, employee relations analysis, competency-based HR training, site visits, orientation programs, and other employee development initiatives.
• Partner with the Risk Management team and support Corporate Legal in responding to external agency complaints (e.g., EEOC, OSHA, NLRB, and state civil rights agencies), including preparation of position statements and case coordination.
• Lead talent management and employee engagement efforts within the region. Oversee recruitment and retention strategies, and leverage HR data and metrics to monitor and optimize performance in areas such as hiring, turnover, and workforce planning.
• Administer and ensure consistency in the performance evaluation and merit review processes, ensuring adherence to divisional standards and equitable implementation across all staff levels.
• In collaboration with facility Administrators, Executive Directors, and HR Managers, identify competency gaps within HR teams using HR metrics. Partner with corporate SMEs to design and deliver appropriate training programs and resources.
• Provide interim, on-site HR leadership and support during HR Manager vacancies at facility locations.
• Work closely with facility leadership and HR teams to ensure consistent implementation and oversight of divisional HR strategies, policies, and procedures.
