The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting a general dentist for a community health center, also called a federally qualified health center, in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Mission : To provide affordable, comprehensive, high-quality health care to the entire community.
Position Details :
- Schedule : Monday-Friday 8AM 5PM, with at least one evening and one admin day.
- Clinic Hours : (M-Th) : 8AM-7PM, (F) : 8AM- 5PM
- No weekends
- Appointments : 60 minute time slots
- See 8-10 patients per day on average.
- 5 operatories
- Current Dental Staff : 2 dentists, 2 dental hygienists, 4.5 dental assistants
- EHR : Wisdom / Epic
- Other notes : Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
What is a community health center?
- Community health centers are the nation’s largest source of comprehensive primary care for medically under-resourced communities and populations.
- Through an integrated care model, including medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services, patients can access comprehensive, coordinated services often under one roof!
Requirements
- Requires graduation from an accredited school of dentistry;
- Possession of valid D.D.S / D.M.D. degree;
- Current Iowa license, federal DEA and Iowa CSA in good standing;
Benefits
- Eligible for up to $50,000 in student loan repayment with two year commitment & option to renew.
- $140k - $165k annual salary
- $2,000 for continuing education annually + 5 days
- Professional association and licensure fees paid for.

- 20 PTO days + 10 paid holidays + 3 sick days
- Contract Length : 2 year minimum
