About the Role :
We are looking for an Entry Level Customs Entry Writer to join our Customs Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in logistics, international trade, and customs compliance. Responsibilities :
- Prepare and file customs entry documentation (CF 3461, 7501, ISF) accurately and in compliance with CBP requirements.
- Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and determine applicable duty rates and fees.
- Review and verify import documentation including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and arrival notices.
- Enter import entry data into the companys customs software with a high degree of accuracy.
- Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and clients to obtain and verify required information.
- Track shipment progress, monitor clearances, and assist with post-entry corrections and audits.
- Stay current on CBP regulations, tariff updates, and trade policy changes.
- Support licensed brokers to ensure compliance with company and federal standards.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to learn new software quickly.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Analytical, proactive, and eager to develop skills in international trade.Internship or entry-level experience in logistics or import / export operations a plus.Benefits & Growth :
