About The Position

• Med / Surg experience
• Pre / post neurosurgery experience
• Total joint replacements experience
• Trauma Level I, II, III, or IV experience
• IV Start required
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias preferred

Description :

The position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse.

Candidates must have a minimum of 1.5 years of experience.

First-timers are accepted.

BLS certification is required, while NIHSS and ACLS certifications are preferred.

Local candidates are not accepted.

Floating between units is required.

Pending licenses are not accepted, and required certifications must be in hand prior to submission.

Candidates must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Guaranteed hours include 36 hours for three 12-hour shifts.

The patient ratio is generally 1 : 5-6.

The unit serves adults and geriatric patients.

The daily census is approximately 34 patients.

The unit handles various patient diagnoses including orthopedic, neurosurgery, and medical patients.

Special procedures include total joint replacements, continuous bladder irrigation, and management of chest tubes.

Interdisciplinary support is available from various departments.

Travelers are expected to float within the facility or to affiliated hospitals.

Candidates must provide two supervisor references.

This position requires interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, which is preferred for applicants.
