PRN Registered Nurse (RN) for Home Health Visits

BrightStar Care of Flower Mound, TX is looking to hire a Part-time Registered Nurse to help provide compassionate, in-home care for our clients in the Flower Mound, Coppell, and Roanoke areas The Part-time RN is responsible for providing home health clinical services while ensuring quality and adequacy of services provided and may, where required, supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform care as defined by client's individual Plan of Care and within scope of state's nurse practice act
• Monitor patient's condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes
• Provide those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill
• Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws
• Counsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments

Requirements

• Current unrestricted RN license in the State of Texas
• 2-5 years of experience as a registered nurse
• Mastery of peripheral IV starts / maintenance and blood draws preferred
• Experience with wound care and dressing changes
• Experience performing nursing assessments
• Reliable car with auto insurance
• Clean background and criminal record
• Understands regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations
• Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality

Experience preferred : Bachelor's degree in Nursing, self-infusion training, phlebotomy for adult and pediatric patients, CVAD experience & knowledge, advanced nursing certifications (e.

g., CRNI, OCN), wound care experience.
