This is a full-time weekend (non-exempt / hours) position with a 4-10 work schedule (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and a flexible fourth day).
Responsibilities :
Perform comprehensive echocardiography imaging using 2D, 3D, and color imaging techniques to assess the heart's structure and function.Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment while explaining procedures and notifying physicians of critical findings.Prepare preliminary echo reports with relevant measurements.Participate in outreach clinics once a month, including possible overnight stays in rural areas lacking congenital cardiac care.Take part in weeknight and weekend on-call duties with associated compensation.Collaborate with fellow sonographers and physicians to ensure smooth patient flow.Assist in equipment maintenance and quality control.Engage in continuing education to deliver up-to-date patient care.Qualifications :
Level I Cardiac Sonographer :
Graduated from a two-year Allied Health Training Program in Ultrasound Technology or relevant bachelor's program.0-4 years of experience in inpatient / outpatient cardiac ultrasound.ARDMS / RDCS (AE) OR CCI (RCS) credentialBLS certification required at hire.New Mexico State Licensure must be obtained within 90 days by new graduates.Level II Cardiac Sonographer :
Graduated from an applicable Allied Health Training Program or have 6 years of relevant experience in place of a degree.4-8 years of experience in inpatient / outpatient cardiac ultrasound.ARDMS / RDCS (AE) OR CCI (RCS) credentialBLS certification required at hire.New Mexico State Licensure required.Level III Cardiac Sonographer :
Graduated from an applicable Allied Health Training Program or relevant bachelor's program.8+ years of experience in inpatient / outpatient cardiac ultrasound, or 10 years of relevant experience in place of a degree.ARDMS / RDCS (AE) OR CCI (RCS) credentialBLS certification required at hire.New Mexico State Licensure required.Our organization is dedicated to enhancing community health through various initiatives.
