Opportunity

As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will serve as a technical specialist or project lead on substation projects up to 765 kV. Your responsibilities will include design coordination, deliverable development, quality review, and client collaboration. Travel may be required for design reviews and site verification.

• Provide project coordination and technical guidance on substation projects.
• Support projects ranging up to 765 kV in detailed design and EPC execution.
• Develop protection and control design deliverables (relays, panel arrangements, one-line diagrams, AC / DC schematics).
• Develop physical layout deliverables (yard plans, grounding, lightning protection, auxiliary power systems).
• Perform or oversee quality review of electrical substation design packages.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Prepare electrical equipment specifications and BOMs for procurement and construction.
• Communicate and coordinate project activities with clients, vendors, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Present proposals, designs and project activities to stakeholders.
• Manage design budgets and schedules.
• Support business development or pursuit activities.

Hybrid work model : 3 in-office days and 2 remote / flex days per week. Eligible for relocation to any Black & Veatch U.S. regional office.
