The Department of Pathology at Texas Children's Hospital (TCH) is seeking an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. Molecular Pathologist to join the Division of Genomic Medicine as a full-time member of the faculty. The successful candidate will have experience in the practice of molecular genomic pathology and play a key role in implementation of genomic testing services in patient care. The Division of Genomic Medicine offers testing services encompassing next generation sequencing genomic panels, cytogenomic microarrays, real-time PCR, as well as FISH and cytogenetics services in oncology and constitutional disorders. Ongoing expansions include DNA methylation classifiers for tumors, whole genome sequencing for constitutional disorders, and digital PCR-based applications. Opportunities are available to develop nanopore sequencing and other emerging platforms.
The faculty member will be joining an experienced team with the opportunity to contribute to the clinical, academic, and research missions of our department while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, pathologists, scientists, and genetic counselors. The successful candidate will hold an appointment as Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in the Department of Pathology & Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM).
