Maintenance Technician
Plastatech Engineering Ltd. has an opening for a Maintenance Technician in their Maintenance Department. The position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Saginaw, Michigan.
This is a 3rd shift, full-time, hourly position with excellent benefits and offers a $1.50 per hour shift premium bonus.
Essential Functions :
- Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools to complete tasks as assigned.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery.
- Maintain facility and associated equipment.
- Work with maintenance vendors.
- Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Complete and submit company purchase requisitions.
- Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning.
- Ensure all machinery follows federal, state, and company safety standards.
Requirements :
- 3-5 years industrial plant maintenance or electrical experience is highly desired.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step-by-step instructions.
- Must have experience with Industrial Controls.
- Mechanically inclined, and able to perform physical labor, lifting, operating machinery, etc.
- Ability to read blueprints and experienced with fabrication.
- Excellent safety and attendance record.
- Must be able to work overtime when required.
- Self-motivated and be able to multi-task.
- High attention to detail and be exceptionally organized.
- Must have initiative and be able to work in a team and individually.
