Kettle Driver

Drives a Salvation Army vehicle for delivering and picking up Christmas kettles, supplies and bellringers to designated kettle locations. Seasonal position requiring a valid driver's license, approved criminal background and approved credit background.

Kettle Driver (95%)

Responsible for delivering and picking up Christmas kettles, supplies and bellringers at designated kettle locations. Collects kettles and supplies from designated bell ringer and returns kettles to appropriate Corps office for counting.

Other Responsibilities (5%)

Locks vehicle doors when vehicle is not in use.
Parks vehicle in a safe and clearly marked parking space.
Performs other related work as required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or G.E.D. And Two years' experience operating an automotive vehicle.

Certifications / Licenses

Valid Oklahoma driver's license with a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).

Physical Requirements

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.

Ability to travel to various locations throughout the metro.

Ability to safely drive a vehicle in heavy traffic.

Ability to greet guests, such as volunteers or clients.

Ability to concentrate in a disruptive environment.

Ability to alternate between manual labor duties and contact with public.

Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects

Working Conditions

Work is performed driving various vehicles in the field while making deliveries and pick-ups.

Work is performed in all types of weather including rain and snow, entering, and exiting vehicle multiple times a day.
