Job description

Dee Zee, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Intern to support equipment and facility maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This internship offers hands-on experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair support while learning how maintenance contributes to safe and efficient operations.

Accountabilities

  • Assist maintenance staff with preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Help track and document work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment history in company software.
  • Support troubleshooting and minor repairs under the supervision of skilled maintenance personnel.
  • Participate in projects to improve equipment reliability, shop organization, and workplace safety.
  • Learn how maintenance coordinates with engineering, quality, and safety teams to support production.
  • Gain exposure to skilled trades work including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, welding, and carpentry.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree or certificate in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Interest in industrial maintenance, facilities, or manufacturing operations.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or maintenance software is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment exposed to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and variable temperatures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
