About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

License : Required

Certifications : BLS, Chemotherapy (ONS or ONCC) required; ACLS and OCN certification preferred.

Must-Have :

Infusion Center or Outpatient experience required.

Previous Charge experience preferred.

Epic charting system experience is required.

Description :

This is a hospital-based infusion center.

Patient diagnoses include solid tumor cancers, lymphomas, chronic leukemia, iron deficiency, myelodysplastic syndrome, and neuro-oncology.

Procedures include bone marrow aspirations, intravesicular chemotherapy for bladder cancer, and intrathecal chemotherapy.

Candidates should have skills in accessing ports, administration of chemotherapy and blood products, and managing central lines.

Knowledge of patient education and support, care coordination, and recognizing abnormal lab values is essential.

Experience in managing side effects and adherence to safety protocols is necessary.

Candidates will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

RNs are required to pass an EKG exam during compliance prior to starting.

The daily census includes 65-75 infusion patients.

The environment has supportive equipment, including an interpreter machine, blood warmer, Hoyer lift, vein finder, and ultrasound-guided IV machine.

Flexibility with scheduling is essential, and the organization has a strict policy on tardiness and unexcused absences.

This role may require floating to various locations as needed.
