Commercial Building Maintenance Worker

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Worker to join our team for a full-time position at a commercial building located in Miami Lakes, FL .

Schedule : Monday – Friday

Hours : 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM

Position Overview

The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing a wide range of duties related to the general upkeep, repair, and safety of the commercial property. The ideal candidate will be reliable, proactive, and skilled in a variety of maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine building maintenance tasks (interior and exterior)

Electrical repairs (changing ballasts, light fixtures, outlets, etc.)

Plumbing repairs (unclogging drains, fixing leaks, replacing fixtures)

HVAC system maintenance (filters, basic diagnostics, coordinating with HVAC techs)

Painting, patching, and general wall repairs

Minor carpentry (doors, locks, hinges, furniture adjustments)

Maintain cleanliness of mechanical rooms and work areas

Ensure compliance with safety and building codes

Assist with vendor coordination and supervision

Respond promptly to maintenance requests or emergencies

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience , preferably in a commercial setting

Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, and maintenance instructions

Must have basic tools and a valid driver’s license

Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus, but not required
