Job Summary : Performs destruct of parts to ensure quality tolerance is met.
Major Accountabilities :
Perform plasma cutting, grinding, and polishingMulti task, handle stress, implement advice, avoid distractions, adapt to changes, and work well with othersFollow work instructions and routines to comply with IATF 16949 requirementsUse of a gages and micrometers to inspect the quality of a partReport defective material or questionable condition to production department supervisorOperation of robotic weld machinesAbide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following : Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee HandbookQualification :
High School Diploma or equivalent and working towards completion of post-secondary education in Quality or EngineeringA basic understanding of the GMAW process and the Weld Lab / Destruct techniques used to evaluate itWeld Lab, Weld Quality, or Weld Destruct experienceGMAW, plasma, and fabrication experienceMinimum 2 years Q.A. and / or quality inspection and / or practical related automotive manufacturing experienceKnowledge of IATF 16949; ISO 14001 : 2015Ability to understand, monitor and maintain adherence to the non- conforming / containmentProcedures / processesAble to logically think through problems and provide recommendations for solutionsAble to use and understand inspection cards and fixtures, Understands and can demonstrate first-off procedures for all processesBasic knowledge of MetrologyUnderstand tolerance requirements as seen on a print.Computer, measuring instruments, communication devices, plasma cutter, air chisels and other destructing toolsWork Environment :
