Float Pool Medical Assistant
Our Float program offers the opportunity to gain experience in various Ascension clinics. Responsibilities include assisting with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider, performing select clinical duties, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, preparing treatment rooms, performing basic clerical duties, managing materials, maintaining a clean and orderly environment, and transcribing patient orders.
Requirements include BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date, Certified Medical Assistant obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date, and a High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience. Required professional licensure / certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
