Your Responsibilities :

Lead a team of skilled developers on a variety of technology projects focusing on distributed microservices and full stack systems to create impactful solutions.

Stay updated with the latest tech trends, explore new technologies, and share your knowledge by mentoring fellow engineers.

Collaborate closely with product managers to build robust cloud-based solutions that enhance user experiences.

Utilize programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, HTML / CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, alongside tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and various AWS services.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

A minimum of 4 years of experience in software engineering (internships do not qualify).

At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).

Preferred Qualifications :

Master's Degree.

7+ years of experience in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go.

3+ years of experience with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Microsoft Azure.

4+ years of experience with open source frameworks.

1+ years of experience in a people management role.

2+ years of experience practicing Agile methodologies.

This role is based in McLean, VA and offers a salary range of $193,400 - $220,700 for qualified candidates. For positions in Plano, TX, the salary range is $175,800 - $200,700. Please note that actual salaries may vary depending on the factors outlined in Capital One's offer letter.

In addition to a competitive salary, this position includes the opportunity for performance-based incentive compensation, such as cash bonuses and long-term incentives.
