Medical Sales Representative

Biocodex is a French family-owned pharmaceutical company headquartered in Gentilly, near Paris, France. The company was founded in 1953 to develop and market the world's first probiotic yeast strain, Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745, discovered in 1923. Building on relationships established for nearly 70 years with healthcare professionals, the Biocodex teams work daily for the health of all and focus their activities around three main areas :

  • Microbiota to educate the general public and healthcare professionals on the growing importance of microbiota, advance scientific breakthroughs in microbiota by funding academic research, provide solutions for preserving microbiota health with its unique probiotic drug Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745, innovate with its Symbiosys range and make early-stage investments in start-up companies
  • Orphan diseases for patients with severe orphan pathologies around the world, such as DIACOMIT, which is indicated for the treatment of Dravet syndrome, a rare and very severe form of epilepsy in children
  • Women's health with the Saforelle brand for women of all ages.

In order to accompany the growth of Biocodex, we are looking for a Medical Sales Representative (Atlanta, GA). This position is REMOTE but the candidate must reside within the territory.

The Medical Sales Representative will report to the Senior Manager, Medical Sales USA. The primary function will be to focus on growing both the current book of business and developing new selling relationships with our HCP customers.

About the opportunity :

The Medical Sales Representative Role is responsible for identifying key opportunities within their territory by 1) increasing HCP understanding, advocacy, and recommendations for Florastor via product education and as a result, 2) grow current sales while simultaneously creating new business for revenue acceleration. The Medical Sales Representative will need to have a clear understanding of the science behind Florastor, and what makes it both unique and compelling to medical professionals & consumers alike in the U.S. marketplace. At the same time, the Medical Sales Representative must be comfortable in a selling environment where many of their competitors are larger companies offering significant sampling and high levels of direct-to-consumer marketing. Your business acumen and internal motivation will combine a fact-based approach with an inspiring presence to successfully achieve challenging but attainable goals on an annual basis.

We are looking for a career-minded, growth-oriented individual to make a positive impact on both the lives of patients and our daily sales operations. The ideal candidate will take ownership of implementing and executing targeted sales strategies to exceed sales objectives. Driving with limited overnight travel may be required. The ideal candidate would have 2 - 5 years of sales experience in healthcare working in the Atlanta, GA area with the ability to work autonomously. They also need to demonstrate a keen ability to analyze sales data and develop a plan of action for driving sales with the gastrointestinal marketplace throughout the territory.

Responsibilities :

  • Develops the assigned sales territory with a business plan for optimal sales and customer service
  • Maintains a commitment to ethical promotion within regulatory guidelines
  • Selling to support promotional activities and brand marketing activity
  • Promotes excellence by providing superior service to each customer
  • Proficient with virtual meetings to continuously engage with our customers
  • Adeptly educates others on our products, explains features, benefits, and technical aspects of the full product line, as well as, demonstrating expert knowledge of the competitive market
  • Makes articulate, effective formal presentations to a variety of audiences including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, clinic staff using visual aids, slide shows, and other media
  • Closes the sale by addressing customer concerns, demonstrating empathy, and consistently moving the customer towards commitment for product use
  • Develops new account prospects through networking, referrals, and cold calling
  • Demonstrated ability to be a collaborator and, continuously, communicate with other team members
  • Demonstrated ability to seek new business opportunities and high activity level ("Hunter Mentality")
  • Experience selling products and services to major accounts in a designated region is preferred
  • Leverages other Biocodex resources when needed, including sales & marketing leadership, KOL's, and internal specialists

    Qualifications :

  • BA / BS degree
  • 2 - 5 years of healthcare sales experience, including but not limited to pharmaceuticals, long term care sales, OTC sales, laboratory, or medical equipment direct sales
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently analyze, plan, prioritize, execute, and exceed sales goals
  • Strong presentations skills (both virtual and in person)
  • Must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Demonstrated ability to use the Salesforce CRM platform and Excel to analyze sales data
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Business travel, including driving / sitting in car for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs. frequently
  • Frequent talking, listening, visual acuity and repetitive motion
