Massachusetts Certified Application Counselor

A company is looking for an Outpatient Financial Counselor in Quincy.

Key Responsibilities

Assist low-income, uninsured, and underinsured patients in applying for financial assistance and securing healthcare coverage

Manage patient inquiries and documentation related to health insurance applications and eligibility

Educate patients about health insurance options and maintain accurate records of patient interactions and applications

Required Qualifications

High School diploma with 3-5 years of customer service experience in healthcare or human services; Bachelor's degree preferred

Must complete MassHealth's curriculum for Certified Application Counselor and maintain certification annually

2-3 years of strong customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting

Bilingual candidates and those with hospital or healthcare experience are strongly preferred

Strong technical skills and proficiency in using Epic and external database systems
