Job Description Role : Lead CE&I Engineer

Location : Warrington, Cheshire (Hybrid Working)

Hours : 40 per week

Clearance Required : SC (but can commence with BPSS)

Employment Type : Contract (12 months +)

Rate per hour : Flexible

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the CE&I electrical systems design on major engineering projects. This role involves the production and checking of engineering deliverables through concept, preliminary, and detailed design phases, as well as providing assistance with design queries during installation and commissioning.

The role requires an experienced engineer with a strong technical background in CE&I, proven leadership in design delivery, and the ability to interface effectively across multi-disciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and take ownership of CE&I electrical systems design across assigned projects.
• Deliver and check engineering design packages, ensuring alignment with project requirements and milestones.
• Manage and support a small integrated design team.
• Produce and contribute to design documentation, including :
• Project Requirement Documents
• Basis of Design
• Project Verification Plans
• Quality Plans
• Design Justification Reports
• Independently determine project requirements and develop appropriate design solutions.
• Review and check CE&I deliverables prepared by senior CE&I designers.
• Provide estimates for scope changes or additional works, including supporting schedules.
• Support and contribute to design reviews.
• Produce reports and documentation in line with CDM regulations.
• Collaborate closely with the Integrated Design Team, facility teams (including systems engineering), and other project functions across all phases.
