The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of our diagnostic services team , representing compassion, accuracy, and professionalism. The PSR II performs specimen collection and preparation duties, ensuring every patient encounter is handled with trust, care, and compliance. This position requires exceptional phlebotomy skills , adherence to safety protocols, and a strong commitment to patient confidentiality and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection duties accurately and on schedule.Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment at all times.Verify and record patient information, ensuring specimen labels match patient identity.Uphold confidentiality and accuracy of all patient records.Exhibit strong organizational commitment and represent the company positively to patients and the community.Travel to multiple locations as required to provide coverage for Patient Service Centers or in-office phlebotomy sites.Maintain compliance with all company Policies, Procedures, and Safety Standards .Required Experience
1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.Customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or service environments.Keyboarding and data entry proficiency.Nice-to-Have Experience
2+ years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment.Previous training as a Medical Assistant or Paramedic .Required Skills
Proficiency in phlebotomy (pediatric and geriatric)Strong customer service and communication abilitiesTime management and attention to detailPreferred Skills
Knowledge of safety and infection control standardsReliable transportation with a valid driver's licenseAbility to work independently and handle multiple prioritiesAdditional Skills
Flexibility for weekends, holidays, and on-call shiftsDecision-making based on established proceduresWillingness to travel for training and site coverageRequired Education
