The Enterprise Services Risk organization is on the lookout for innovative, collaborative, and highly skilled professionals. We're dedicated to redefining the financial sector by prioritizing risk management and embracing diverse perspectives. As a part of the eData Risk team at Capital One, you will leverage your risk management and analytical skills to enhance the Enterprise Data organization's risk profile and operational processes.

In this pivotal role, you will be a frontline leader in ensuring that our company is well-managed and capable of avoiding unnecessary risks. You will not only influence critical business strategies but also drive project and program delivery across Capital One.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include :

  • Building strong relationships with Enterprise Data teams to assess the impact of risk on vital business processes.
  • Conducting risk reviews through mechanisms like Risk Control and Self Assessments (RCSAs) and recommending effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Advising leaders across various departments on key technology risks and necessary actions.
  • Facilitating periodic risk reviews with executives and supporting risk metrics reporting.
  • Performing deep dive investigations and leading specific initiatives to enhance our risk management posture and control effectiveness.
  • Designing and supporting internal risk and governance processes.
  • Continuously identifying and implementing enhancements to our risk programs based on industry standards and best practices.
  • Contributing innovative ideas to strengthen the Enterprise Services Risk organization.

    • Basic Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Risk Management, Process Management, Project Management, or a combination thereof.
  • At least 5 years of experience collaborating with internal and external business clients.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant Military Experience.
  • Risk Certifications such as CRISC, CISM, CRCM, CIPP, or ABA Risk Management Certification.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience partnering with internal stakeholders.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Financial Services industry.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage with all organizational levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, able to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Proficient in relationship building and collaboration to achieve common goals.
  • Able to set direction, delegate tasks, and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.

    • This position is based in the following locations : Chicago, IL; McLean, VA; New York, NY; Richmond, VA; Wilmington, DE. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are as follows :

  • Chicago, IL : $175,500 - $200,300
  • McLean, VA : $193,000 - $220,300
  • New York, NY : $210,500 - $240,300
  • Richmond, VA : $175,500 - $200,300
  • Wilmington, DE : $175,500 - $200,300
