Job Summary :

Village Caregiving in Point Pleasant, Applegrove, West Virginia is seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to join our team on a Part Time hourly basis.

This individual contributor role will involve providing essential care and support to our elderly clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall well-being.

As a Caregiver, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families.

Responsibilities :

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to individual dietary restrictions
• Monitor clients' health, including vital signs and medication reminders
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens
• Provide companionship and engage in activities with clients to promote socialization and mental stimulation
• Document and report any changes in clients' physical or cognitive condition to the appropriate supervisor
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the well-being of clients and yourself

Requirements :

• Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role in the healthcare / medical field is preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with elderly clients
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift / move up to 50 pounds
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is a plus
