This Director of Surgical Services opportunity is full time at hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is responsible for direction of patient care in the Operating Room, PACU, DSU, & SPD. Manages all staff members. Consults with staff, physicians and Nurse Executive on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Assists in formulating budget. Director has /7 operational responsibility for the department.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Directs actions toward supervision of nursing care given to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients within the Operating Room, DSU, PACU and SPD, according to nursing principles.
- Supervises and oversees sterilization process.
- Supervises clinical aspects of Central Service Department.
- Supervises care of Pain Center and OR suite and equipment to ensure cleanliness, sterility and operational ability of all items.
- Assists surgeons in operations through provision of qualified staff; formulates schedule which provides staff available for all procedures.

About Universal Health Services:
Qualifications - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, baccalaureate degree or current enrollment in a program.
- Registered Nurse Licensure.
- Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of nursing and a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.
- Current BLS, PALS and ACLS certification.
