Job Summary :

The Shop Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the inspection, maintenance, repair, and preparation of oilfield tubular goods (e.g., drill pipe, tubing) in a fast-paced shop environment. This role requires hands-on technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards to support oilfield operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Inspection & Maintenance : Inspect tubular goods for wear, damage, or defects using manual and automated tools; perform cleaning, and minor repairs as needed.
• Equipment Operation : Operate machinery such as cleaning machines, pressure washers, and forklifts to process and prepare tubulars for field use.
• Inventory Management : Assist in tracking inventory, organizing tubular goods, and ensuring proper storage to prevent damage or corrosion.
• Quality Control : Verify that all work meets industry standards (e.g., API specifications) and company quality requirements; document inspection results and repairs.
• Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
• Team Collaboration : Work closely with other technicians, supervisors, and field personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks and efficient workflow.
• Tool & Equipment Care : Perform routine maintenance on shop tools and equipment, reporting any malfunctions or repair needs to the supervisor.
