This position serves as the Volunteer Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator and supports the statewide volunteer engagement and recruitment initiatives of the Florida Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP). This position plays a vital role in strengthening the program's volunteer base by coordinating outreach campaigns, maintaining online listings, managing recognition activities, and providing administrative and creative support for statewide volunteer engagement. The position also serves as liaison to the Florida Pioneer Network and other aging-service organizations to promote LTCOP's mission and expand its visibility across the state.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, ranging from $15.00 to $20.00, hourly.

Volunteer Recruitment and Outreach

• Coordinates the 55+ Volunteer Recruitment Initiative, developing and implementing targeted outreach strategies to attract and retain older adult volunteers.
• Posts and maintains volunteer opportunities for each district through Idealist, Volunteer Florida, United Way, and AARP Volunteer Portals, ensuring listings remain current and accurately represent program needs.
• Researches and identifies community events, fairs, and tabling opportunities in under-represented areas to increase volunteer recruitment and awareness.
• Ensures accurate translation of volunteer advertisements and materials to support Hispanic outreach and inclusion efforts.
