Operating Room Transporter

This position transports patients to and from the O.R., handles routine tasks related to patient care, organizes equipment, and provides general cleaning of surgical suites. Pay range : $17.68 - $22.98 / hour (depending on experience). Benefits eligible : Yes (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and many more benefits). Shift details : Full-time, 36 hours / week. Tuesday and Thursday, 7 a.m. - 7 : 30 p.m. Every Saturday, 2 shifts will be graveyard (6 : 45 p.m. - 7 : 15 a.m.) and the other 2 shifts will be 6 : 45 a.m. - 7 : 15 p.m. Call is required and must be able to respond to hospital within 30 minutes. Holidays are required.

Job Essentials :

• Able to apply standards of and maintain sterile technique appropriately.
• Getting and restocking supplies as needed.
• Assist with turnover of the rooms. Including cleaning appropriately after the case and preparing the room for the next case.
• Responsible to assist anesthesia when needed. Including turnover anesthesia equip. Assisting anesthesia wherever needed.
• Keep department clean including keeping hallways uncluttered by returning supplies / equipment to their proper storage areas.
• Responsible for transporting patients to and from surgery.
• Transports specimens appropriately including blood and blood products.
