Description
ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Engineer to join our premier client's team in Seattle, WA. This is a full-time position , starting as a 6-month contract . This role is critical in advancing the company's cloud-based content management systems and media transformation workflows. You will play a key part in transforming and optimizing infrastructure, building beta-stage environments, and enabling seamless media delivery through automated pipelines and scalable systems.
We're looking for a highly skilled Cloud Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes full ownership of their work, and enjoys working independently while collaborating with a small team of creative, content, and technical stakeholders. This is an ideal role for a media-focused engineer who loves solving complex infrastructure challenges and improving large-scale systems operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize multiple content management systems (CMS) to support media operations and delivery.
- Design and implement scalable CI / CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
- Evaluate current deployment solutions and collaborate with internal teams to improve automation, monitoring, and security updates.
- Develop and maintain video transformation workflows, ensuring media assets are delivered in the correct formats for distribution.
- Create and support beta-stage environments for content delivery and testing.
- Integrate and manage third-party (3P) systems and tools related to content management and distribution.
- Work on system operations and performance optimization to improve reliability and scalability.
- Partner with stakeholders across creative, technical, and content management teams to deliver high-impact solutions that enhance system efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
Expert-level experience in infrastructure systems.Strong background in DevOps system engineering and CI / CD pipeline automation.Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Ruby, Go, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.Proficiency with Git or other code versioning tools.Experience implementing automated unit and integration testing.Proven ability to design and develop large-scale, distributed software systems and services.Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large-scale content management systems and media-focused architectures.Strong understanding of systems architecture, infrastructure design, and cloud operations.Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and the full software development life cycle, including code reviews, source control, build processes, and deployment.Experience communicating with technical teams and management to collect requirements and present technical designs.Prior experience working in a development or infrastructure capacity is highly preferred.
