Project Management Specialist - Asset Management
Under some supervision, the position is responsible for engaging program stakeholders to ensure successful program implementation SEPTA's Transit Asset Management plan. This role performs essential project management functions to achieve effective project completion. Maintains complete, accurate and organized Project files.
Specific responsibilities include :
- Assists with the implementation of SEPTA's Transit Asset Management program.
- Monitors status of project phases in conjunction with larger program schedule.
- Engages project stakeholders throughout all levels of SEPTA organization to build project requirements.
- Assists in the development of project requirements of project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Monitors project schedules and facilitates communication and collaboration among department stakeholders and subject matter experts to maintain effective progress and make necessary adjustments.
- Utilizing project management scheduling tools to visualize project timelines, dependencies and key project milestones.
- Provides management with reports to track project and program performance.
- Provides administrative services and support for project management staff, including schedules, budgets, contracts.
- Maintains complete, accurate and organized project files, reviews and approves invoices.
- Fosters collaboration throughout SEPTA organization and maintains positive relationships to achieve common goals.
- Identify efficiencies and present improvements to management.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications and experience required :
Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of satisfactory experience in project / contract management required.An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered (one (1) year of post-high school education equating to two (2) years of experience) in lieu of the above requirements.Strong personal computer skills required. Must be proficient in MS software applications, including Excel, Access, and Word. Must demonstrate proficiency at an intermediate level of Excel.Ability to prepare reports and maintain written and computer based records required.Excellent interpersonal skills required to deal effectively with a wide range of individuals at all levels and a strong work ethic.Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.Must possess a valid driver's license.Ideal qualifications and experience :
