Responsibilities

• As a Senior Professional Electrical Engineer , with general direction, create basic to highly complex designs of electric master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, sustainability / renewable energy systems, and other related electrical systems.
• Perform studies of power systems and electrical calculations for electrical systems, lighting simulations, lighting layouts, communications, fire alarm, security, and other similar calculations.
• Develop white papers and technical documentation to support the firm\'s Technical Knowledge Management (TKM).
• Perform site reviews and studies to ensure designs align with location specifications; update design requirements as necessary.
• Contribute to the firm\'s TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special designs, studies, etc.; submit technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
• Collaborate with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client RFPs; review drafts for adherence to regulations and best practices. Meet with current and potential clients to review design needs.
• Attend conferences and symposia to improve visibility of the firm\'s products and services in collaboration with applicable sales staff.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff; mentor for growth; may supervise work on project tasks.
• Perform other duties as required.

Pay Range Minimum : $90,605

Pay Range Maximum : $158,579

Additional Compensation : All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.

Work Location Options : Hybrid work options may be considered for the successful candidate.
