As a Security Officer - Financial Patrol Unarmed in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent financial institution, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and providing excellent customer service and communication to all visitors and employees. You will play a vital role in upholding Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and people-first culture while contributing to a secure atmosphere within this dynamic financial setting.

Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $26.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday to Friday 05 : 00 PM - 01 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and identify security-related risks.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help deter unauthorized access within the location.
  • Report and document all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Work closely with property management and / or building staff to address security-related concerns or requests.
  • Remain visible and approachable while on patrol to provide a sense of security and assistance to building occupants.

  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Experience with access control systems and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
