American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with strong peripheral vascular interventional experience and required certifications for an adult and geriatric patient population.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab within a short-term acute care, teaching hospitalCare for adult and geriatric patients diagnosed with CAD, PVD, and cancerSpecialized procedures include interventional peripheral, diagnostic cardiovascular, and interventional pulmonary casesTypical staffing ratios are 1 : 5Shift is 4x10 day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PMCerner charting system is usedScrubs are providedDuties include performing and assisting with a range of diagnostic and interventional procedures including angiography, aortography, pulmonary arteriography, dialysis graft interventions, and bone marrow harvestsTeam members handle room setup, equipment preparation, supply stocking, and rapid response activation as neededThis position requires strict adherence to sterile and isolation precautionsExpect no holidays off during contract durationReturn staff must have been separated from the facility for at least one year to be eligibleWork schedule may not allow RTO for more than 8 days during the contract and more than 7 days between contracts; periop units have a 3-day RTO maximum per contractLocal candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a lower rateParking may incur a cost\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Cath Lab TechnologistAt least 1 prior travel assignment requiredValid state license required if applicableAccepts ARRT (CI or VI) or RCIS certificationCurrent BLS and ACLS requiredProficiency in diagnostic catheterizations, hemodynamic monitoring, left / right heart catheterization, permanent and temporary pacemaker insertion, angioplasty, stent placement, and peripheral vascular interventionsExperience with fluoroscopy, EKG lead placement, prepping access sites, circulating procedures, and maintaining sterile fieldStrong ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and respond appropriatelyTwo recent supervisor references are required for consideration\n Benefits\n
