Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and professional Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will transport a variety of goods and materials from one location to another. You will plan the most efficient route, ensure adherence to delivery schedules, and perform routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate has experience driving trucks and makes safety a number one priority.
Responsibilities
Operate numerous pieces of equipment, including pump truck, multiple size hoses water jets, and K1500.Drive to a customer to pump grease trap; septic tank and / or sewer system and must have knowledge of disposal proceduresCommunicate with the supervisor / field coordinator while out on site to relay information about any issues that need to be addressed while on site.Pump septic tanks / grease traps regularly, which usually involves pumping them free of the materials insideReport back if the tank should have a full cleaning and / or riser. Upon arrival always checks the lid / grease trap or where you working to make sure nothing is damaged by taking pictures.Knowledge and use of toolsMust always keep trucks in clean and good condition.Must always be neat and professionalPerform routine safety inspections and preventative maintenancePlan the safest and most efficient routes of travelAdhere to schedulesAbility to lift 25lbs or more with no difficulty and maneuver hoses (when needed)Maintain detailed driving log, including work periods, rest periods, and fuel expensesComply with all company policies and driving lawsQualifications
Previous experience as a Truck Driver is required (one year minimum)Valid commercial drivers license (CDL is a plus)Graduation certificate from trucking school is preferredFamiliarity with GPS systems and Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) technologyUnderstanding of all relevant truck driving laws and regulationsExperience with Outlook and Data EntryClean driving recordAbility to pass a background check and drug screeningWillingness to travel regularly and drive long distancesKnowledge of tools needed on the jobKnowledge of OSHA regulationsDOT CardFinger printing card
