Primary Job Function
Plan, manage, and contribute to the day-to-day operation of the warehouse team.Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce.Train staff and monitor performance through established SOPs.Communicate operational initiatives to other departments consistently.Manage daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner deliveries.Organize inventory to minimize loss and damage.Create and ensure accuracy of all load sheets; supervise delegation of load sheet responsibilities.Provide timely responses to clients, internal and external.Conduct briefings and meetings for the warehouse team; develop plans to address future needs.Visit events to monitor quality of service and product.Communicate purchasing / repair needs to the Warehouse Manager.Attend weekly production meetings with operations team to plan for future events.Ensure health, safety, cleanliness, and security of the work environment.Support event teams during load-out process.Create and maintain a schedule that aligns with event and budget needs.Consistently be available to be contacted for event-related concerns.Forecast equipment requirements for immediate and seasonal needs.Partner and collaborate with remote locations to share equipment and establish consistent procedures.Partner with kitchen team to align equipment needs with food preparation details.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of Food Service Operations with a focus on catering and fine dining preferred.Knowledge of budgeting and capital processes, production scheduling, and written and oral communication skills necessary to manage a diverse organization of 75+ employees.Must be able to read, create, and understand production schedules and manage information systems including financial performance and statistical data reports.Functional operational knowledge equal to the intermediate level in MS Office Suite including PowerPoint and Outlook 2010; knowledge of event-related software such as CATEREASE and Meeting Matrix is preferred.Must have a valid Florida Driver's license (Class D preferred).Must be able to do occasional business travel.Must understand the need to handle confidential information discreetly.Must be able to continuously stand, walk, view computer monitors, give & receive oral communication, bend, squat, reach above shoulder level, and discern color; occasionally sit, drive, type, and make fine discriminations in sound, crawl, and climb.Must be able to continuously lift / carry up to 10 lbs; frequently lift / carry up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift / carry up to 70 lbs.Must be able to do repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing & pulling on a frequent basis.Must be able to work in an environment with varying weather conditions, moving machinery, and loud noises; occasional exposure to heat, cold, dust, dampness, height, fumes, confined spaces, electrical & chemical issues.We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
