Schedule

12-hour night shifts, 18 : 45 to 07 : 15. Every other weekend coverage is required.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with a strong background in Neuro ICU for our comprehensive stroke center. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing critically ill neurological patients and will work in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Neuro ICU setting.
  • Manage patient assessments, care planning, and implementation of interventions.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and manage ventilated patients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and interpret vital signs and lab results, including dysrhythmias.
  • Provide care for complex conditions, including CVA, acute stroke management, and post-neurosurgery patients.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in a Neuro ICU setting.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required; NIHSS certification preferred.
  • Strong experience with arterial lines, external ventricular drains (EVD), and ICP monitoring.
  • Ability to manage central lines and administer blood products.
  • Experience working with ventilated patients and managing continuous IV sedation.
