Responsibilities :
- Own our on-campus community and oversee the campus space, serving as a campus leader and community builder.
- Direct people management of a small team, who support community engagement and campus facilities.
- Develop partnerships within the local tech community to generate leads by bringing people into our campus space, growing our visibility, brand awareness and pipeline of prospective learners.
- Ensure a consistent volume of high quality applications in order to fill our NYC classes
- Represent Flatiron School and be an expert on Flatiron School’s course offerings; attend industry meetups and networking events on behalf of Flatiron School.
- In partnership with our Events Manager, host regular events and meetups to engage current and prospective learners, alumni, and industry professionals.
Occasional weeknights and weekends are required.
- Ensure a welcoming and collaborative environment that is a safe and comfortable place for learning and socializing, upholding campus policies and procedures to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all community members.
- Be the primary point of contact for our NYC campus location, creating a warm and welcoming experience for everyone who enters the space.
- Work cross-functionally with geographically distributed colleagues on our Admissions, Community, Education, Career Services, Advising, and Marketing teams to provide a seamless student & community experience.
Qualifications :
- 2+ years of in-person sales experience, with a track record of exceeding quota.
- A strategic community builder with a demonstrated track record of growing a large community or following, ideally within NYC.
- Experience managing a team or team members.
- A passion for Tech - you know the local scene well and are excited to learn more.
- An effective and trusted communicator. You are patient, proactive and personable, and you can connect with just about anyone.
You are comfortable addressing large groups of people and are a natural group facilitator.
- Extremely organized and can manage time effectively and can support your team in doing the same. You know how to create a schedule and how to adapt when things deviate from the schedule.
- You are proactive, self-motivated and adaptable, and can switch context as required, and have the ability to make business-aligned decisions independently.
- You are excited to become an expert on all things related to Flatiron School, and to share it with others.
- Experienced using CRMs and databases (we use Salesforce).
- Data-savvy; able to spot patterns in student data and make recommendations based on it.
- Experience managing a sales or recruitment funnel and excited to have clear quantitative goals, including class size targets and # RSVPs / unique attendees on campus.
Expected Compensation :
$80K-$85K
