Job Summary

The City of Sioux Falls Health Department is accepting applications for a part-time Mental Health Counselor for Falls Community Health. This position is a maximum of 28 hours per week, M-F, with flexible schedule based on the clinic needs.

The counselor will provide crisis and ongoing therapy for patients in a clinic setting at Falls Community Health. As a community health center, we provide affordable, quality, fully integrated health care. The counselor will be part of the behavioral health team as well as the primary care team, all working together to meet the needs of underserved communities.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in social work, mental health counseling or other related field. Minimum two (2) years' mental health experience in a clinical or hospital setting; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.

Must hold a valid state of South Dakota license as a clinical social worker (LCSW-PIP) or professional counselor (LPC-MH).
