At Wisoman Foods, our Sanitation team plays a critical role in food safety and quality. The Sanitation Lead is an essential leader in ensuring that all sanitation activities support compliance, consistency, and audit readiness across our facility.
What Were Looking For
Were hiring a Sanitation Lead to coordinate and oversee the daily sanitation operations at our facility. Reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor / Manager, the Sanitation Lead will guide sanitation associates, enforce proper cleaning protocols, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced food production environment.
This is a full-time, hourly position starting at $20 / hour. Available work hours : 2nd Shift
What Youll Be Doing
- Coordinate and assign daily sanitation tasks to sanitation associates, ensuring priorities are met.
- Verify the completion of daily sanitation activities and train new sanitation associates.
- Ensure Sanitation Programs, SOPs, and schedules are followed to prevent microbial or allergen contamination.
- Oversee cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, production areas, restrooms, offices, and break rooms.
- Maintain the Master Sanitation Schedule in an audit-ready state; update and develop sanitation SOPs as needed.
- Manage sanitation chemicals and supplies : order, receive, store, label, inventory, and monitor usage to ensure availability.
- Ensure the safe and proper disassembly and reassembly of machines for sanitation purposes.
- Adhere to HACCP processes, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety procedures at all times.
- Monitor and enforce proper PPE usage and lock-out / tag-out procedures.
- Communicate and coordinate sanitation-related issues and activities with other departments.
- Assist other departments with sanitation-related needs when required.
What Were Looking For
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Previous experience in food sanitation or food production preferred, with knowledge of sanitation programs and compliance.Ability to lead a team, train new employees, and delegate tasks effectively.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, and climb ladders as needed.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push / pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.Comfortable with repetitive hand use (grasping, pulling, fine manipulation).Willingness to work in environments with extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezers, outdoors).Commitment to safety, including the use of required PPE such as hearing protection and safety glasses.What We Offer Our Team
