We are currently hiring a Packaging Process Engineer for our Cincinnati, Ohio Brewery.
The Process Engineer is responsible for enhancing manufacturing processes within the brewery. The Packaging Process Engineer identifies, evaluates, develops, designs, and implements brewery improvements, packaging asset replacement / upgrade projects, bottling / canning and packaging systems optimization, process changes, and new technologies to achieve increased productivity, enhanced manufacturing / brewery flexibility and capacity, improved product quality, safer operations, and environmental compliance.
What You'll Brew :
- Recommends manufacturing equipment and processes designed to be efficient, cost-effective, and to promote safety, quality, and reliability.
- Uses Lean / 6Sigma practices to assess current equipment and processes, and makes recommendations for changes to ensure the most efficient and productive layout.
- Coaches and engages coworkers (operators, leads, supervisors, process leaders, line leaders) with AM Lean tools (PDCA, CIL, 5 Whys, etc.) to increase efficiency and effectiveness of work systems aimed at eliminating minor stops.
- Helps establish a feedback loop from coworkers by soliciting and acting on their input around opportunities to drive equipment and process improvements.
- Recommends improvements to equipment layout to improve process flow.
- Uses DMAIC, design of experiments, and focused improvement tools to eliminate equipment breakdowns.
- Conducts tests throughout all stages of production to determine control over variables and troubleshoot / solve production problems.
- Formalizes findings in Standard Operating Procedures and One Point Lessons.
- Helps digitalize the shopfloor.
- Identifies and executes solutions to reduce changeover time.
Level : 7
Salary range for this role if hired is $50,000 to $100,000 annually based on location and experience. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance. Certain sales positions are also eligible for a car allowance.
Education :
Four-year bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum Qualifications :
Required :
Internship in a process engineer or manufacturing role in high-speed CPG for early talent.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Experience in manufacturing / CPG environment or engineering (mechanical or electrical).Demonstrated application of Lean / TPM.Independently drove CI projects.Desired :
Strong PLC knowledge.Physical Requirements :
All production roles require passing a pre-employment physical exam.Roles may require use of a respirator and passing fit tests.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.Ability to walk and stand for long periods (up to 11 hours) on various surfaces.May require crouching, crawling, bending, twisting, climbing, and reaching.Ability to work at heights or on elevated platforms.Must wear PPE (safety shoes, gloves, facemask, hearing protection, hard hat).Good dexterity for handling materials and operating equipment.Some roles require peripheral vision and depth perception.Some Perks :
