Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities within a healthcare environment. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while maintaining professionalism and composure within the healthcare location. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or identify potential risks to the healthcare environment. Observe and report any unusual activity and / or potential hazards, documenting incidents according to site protocols. Collaborate with healthcare staff to support a secure and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and personnel. Assist with controlling access to restricted areas and help to deter trespassing or unauthorized entry within the healthcare setting. Remain alert to changes in the environment and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and healthcare facility leadership as needed. Must be at least 21 years of age. CPR certification is preferred. Possession of a valid security guard card or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
