Responsibilities Position is in a 29-bed Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU Cares for pediatric patients with congenital heart disease, including post-cardiac surgery, VADs, heart transplant, and cardiac catheterization Day shifts with 4x12 hour schedule, 7 : 00 to 19 : 30 Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 based on acuity Weekend requirement includes 4 shifts per 4-week period and participation in holiday rotations All ICU beds are monitored beds Utilizes Epic EMR system Floating within scope may be required Unit has received the Gold Beacon Award and is a referral center for major pediatric cardiac surgery in South Carolina Care includes complex therapies such as ECMO and CRRT Interdisciplinary team includes RNs, patient care techs, unit secretaries, respiratory therapy, pediatric dietitians, and pharmacists First-time travelers are accepted Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed All requested time off must be provided at time of application and is subject to unit approval Local candidates are considered within a 60-mile radius on a case-by-case basis Travel pairs are not accepted on this unit Participation in emergency response teams may be required during hurricane season Requirements Active SC or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac ICU experience PALS and BLS (AHA only) required ACLS (AHA) preferred Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) experience highly preferred EPIC experience preferred Must provide SSN and driver's license for consideration Previous permanent staff (including PRN) must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-639971.
