Security Architect – IAM & Security Automation - Hybrid - Columbia, SC

Role : Security Architect IAM & Security Automation

Duration : 12 Months (with potential extension)

Location : Columbia, SC (Hybrid 25% onsite)

Type : Contract W2

We are seeking a Security Architect to support a new initiative focused on Identity and Access Management (IAM) and security automation. This role will play a critical part in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise security solutions that align with organizational goals and risk tolerance.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience with Identity and Access Control, logging, and reporting systems.

5+ years of experience in automation development using tools such as Python and Bash.

5+ years of experience with Linux, Windows , and network security protocols .

5+ years of experience supporting large IT environments and / or system deployments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SIEM analysis and reporting.

Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CSF, CJIS, IRS 1075, CMS MARS-E.

Background in Application Security (AppSec).

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field.

In lieu of a degree, 8 years of relevant work experience may be substituted.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Active Directory, and application integrations.

Develop and implement automation solutions for security and enterprise IT tools using scripting and programming.

Plan, design, and deploy enterprise security solutions that align with business objectives and compliance requirements.

Design, deploy, and manage countermeasures against known threats while developing proactive strategies for emerging risks.

Ensure consistent application of protective measures across enterprise applications and infrastructure.

Validate, measure, and enforce security controls to safeguard enterprise data and technology services.
