This is a local Lapeer-based company seeking an Experienced Quality Technician. 2nd Shift available, Mon-Sat, mandatory overtime is required. Pay is based on experience, starting at $17 per hour. Job Description : Quality Technician

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to :

• Maintains gage calibration system.
• Gage repair and maintenance.
• Inspects first pieces.
• Bench sign off for start of production.
• Issues gages to the production floor.
• Performs floor round inspections – as required.
• Inspects incoming material.
• Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
• Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, or characteristics.
• Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
• Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
• Part containment and quarantine disposition.
• Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
• Enters data into computer for analysis.
