6501 - Maintenance - ELT2 - SR. 2 ELECTRIC TECHNICIAN

TITLE : Electric Technician

POSITION OBJECTIVE : This person is heavily involved in the monitoring of equipment and will play a role in the preventative maintenance. This individual will work with the extrusion and press Operators to learn the process of operating an extrusion line. On a daily basis, must be able to effectively communicate (orally and written) with employees and other departmental personnel. Must troubleshoot equipment / process problems in manufacturing to provide additional level of technical support.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• 3-5 years experience in the troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery.
• Electrical experience is preferred.
• Experienced with interpreting electrical schematics and drawings efficiently.
• Capable of programming drives and understand PLC logic.
• Basic welding and machining skills are a plus.
• Intermediate knowledge of standard software (MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook).
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Willing to adhere to all plant safety rules and promote an environment where safety is first.
• Proactive in addressing safety issues and concerns.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

TRAINING :

The Electric Technician will be trained on safety, paperwork, machine operation, materials knowledge and housekeeping. The Electric Technician will need to learn the process of troubleshooting and repair of various equipment including extruders, printing presses, bag machines, separators, and other equipment used in the production of polyethylene blown film products.
