Admitting Representative For The Emergency Department At Providence Portland Medical Center

The Registrar is responsible for securing appropriate patient account reimbursement by obtaining complex demographic, insurance and medical information and ensuring this is documented timely and accurately. The incumbent performs all duties in a manner that promotes the Providence mission, values, and philosophy. Preferred Qualifications :

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
• National Certification of CHAA upon hire.
• 3 years experience in Patient Access of Business office setting.
• Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
• 3 years utilization of medical terminology in job setting.
• Knowledge in medical billing codes.
• 1 year knowledge of Epic applications.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby / on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
